Arthrex Providing Financial, Humanitarian Aid to Ukraine Relief Efforts
Company matching employee donations to deliver critical support to those affected by the violence in Ukraine

(NAPLES, Florida – March 16, 2022) - In response to the ongoing crisis in Ukraine, Arthrex, a global leader in minimally invasive orthopedic technology, announced efforts to provide critical support to those displaced by the conflict, including those seeking refuge in neighboring countries.

In a statement from Arthrex Senior Management, “The situation unfolding in Ukraine has created a significant humanitarian emergency and the need for immediate aid in the region is dire. As a global company, Arthrex is united by a shared responsibility to help those in a time of urgent need. We hope this assistance will help deliver much-needed support to those who are suffering and displaced.” 

As part of the company’s commitment to global outreach, Arthrex is partnering with the following organizations to offer financial and humanitarian assistance to citizens of Ukraine and neighboring countries:

  • Care International, is an international organization working to provide food, water, supplies, hygiene kits, immediate support aid and cash to Ukrainians, prioritizing helping women, girls, families and the elderly.
  • World Central Kitchen, founded by Chef Jose Andres, is a non-profit organization that provides meals in response to humanitarian, climate and communities crises while working to build resilient food systems. World Central Kitchen is serving hot, nourishing meals at the Ukraine-Poland border and is supporting local restaurants preparing meals in Odessa and Lviv and on the ground in Romania.
  • Polish Humanitarian Action provides assistance, including medical care, food and hygiene items, blankets, sleeping bags and other survival products to vulnerable groups, among other services.

 

Arthrex has also announced it will match employee contributions two-to-one in support of humanitarian efforts to help Ukraine. 

Moreover, the company is working with global industry partners to help ship essential medical supplies to Ukraine, including surgical gloves and wound dressings.
