Arthrex interns and co-ops helped feed thousands of Southwest Florida families in need, packing meals for Meals of Hope during the Summer 2022 Intern/Co-op Volunteer Day. The event, held on Thursday, July 7 at Arthrex One, brought together interns and co-ops from Inc., the Arthrex Logistics Center (ALC) and Arthrex Manufacturing Inc. East (AMIE), giving them an opportunity to bond with their fellow interns while helping the community.
Meals of Hope began as a small food packing organization that has developed into a nationwide non-profit that prioritizes feeding families within the United States. The meals from this event were donated to food pantries in Collier County.
“It was a great experience to volunteer and give back to the Naples community with all of the interns and co-ops I have met this summer,” said Product Management Intern Madison Dillon.
Arthrex is committed to giving employees the opportunity to get involved in their communities by providing them with eight hours of volunteer PTO each year.
Brooke Bell, an Environmental Health & Safety intern, was impressed that Arthrex gave the interns the opportunity to give back.
“Seeing that Arthrex takes pride in allowing their employees to volunteer made me realize that Arthrex was the right place for me to intern,” she said. “I love that Arthrex gives back to the community.”
