Corporate Cup Brings Southwest Florida Groups Together for Friendly Competition

Arthrex, Inc.

Arthrex recently competed against NCH Healthcare System and Collier County Public Schools (CCPS) in the inaugural Arthrex Ambassador Corporate Cup held on the athletic fields outside Arthrex One at the Naples global headquarters campus.

On the morning of Saturday, March 25, Arthrex competed against teams from NCH in pickleball and CCPS in soccer. Later that evening, Arthrex teams played NCH in basketball and CCPS in volleyball.

Arthrex teams, comprised of Arthrex Ambassadors who tried out to earn their spot on their team, successfully won all four sporting events.

Arthrex Ambassadors began as a request from President and Founder Reinhold Schmieding who wanted people to use Arthrex’s state-of-the-art athletic facilities and Arthrex teams to play against outside organizations when they visited campus for training. The Corporate Cup was created in an effort to also include our local community.

The Arthrex Wellness team reached out to NCH and CCPS because of their large employee base and the idea was met with interest and enthusiasm. Each organization recruited teams and the Corporate Cup was born.

“We hope this ongoing event will bring community members together, build relationships with other companies, encourage physical activity and create healthy competition around Collier and Lee Counties,” said Wellness Specialist II Magali Chauvin.

The Wellness team plans to host Corporate Cup events quarterly and is working to include more organizations from the Southwest Florida community.

“The feedback from the first Corporate Cup was very positive and we are excited to continue this event,” said Magali. “We’ve started recruiting additional organizations to participate and plan to continue hosting Corporate Cup games regularly.”
