Sales Intelligence Team Spends Volunteer PTO Day at Two Local Parks

Arthrex, Inc.

With a shared love of nature and spending time outdoors, Arthrex’s Sales Intelligence team had no trouble deciding how they wanted to use their Volunteer PTO day.

“We collectively decided to give back to the community by doing park cleanups,” said Sales Intelligence Senior Manager Javier Paez.

The team began the morning at Rookery Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve, clearing the Snail Trail, a half-mile boardwalk through the mangrove swamp along Henderson Creek. After lunch, they crossed town to continue their volunteer day at Delnor-Wiggins Pass State Park.

“Our team had a great day volunteering at both Rookery Bay and Delnor-Wiggins,” said Sales Analyst II Allison Perrotta, who coordinated with park officials to schedule the team’s volunteer efforts. “We not only learned about invasive species and the history of the preserved land at Rookery Bay, but also got to clean up trash at Wiggins, finding Hurricane Ian debris over a year later.”

The Sales Intelligence team would like to encourage other Arthrex employees to consider park cleanup options when choosing how to spend their Volunteer PTO days.

“Bob Garcia, the volunteer coordinator at Delnor Wiggins, is especially interested in ongoing support from Arthrex employees,” Allison said. “We are so fortunate to live in a place that has such natural wonder surrounding it, and it is important that we do not forget to contribute to its beauty and sustainability for years to come.”

The team would like to thank Arthrex for the annual Volunteer PTO benefit, which allowed them to build lasting memories while working together to better the community.

Arthrex’s Volunteer PTO benefit allows employees eight hours of paid time off each year in order to give back to their community. Look for more stories of Arthrex employees using their Volunteer PTO benefit on Arthrex LinkedInFacebookInstagram and Twitter pages.
