How do you impact our mission of Helping Surgeons Treat Their Patients Better® through your role?

As a member of the Clinical Advisory team (CAT), we have the unique role of answering unsolicited requests for information related to off-label use [a use not approved by the U.S. Federal Drug Administration] of our products. Providing inquiring health care professionals (HCPs) with truthful, balanced, non-misleading scientific literature in response to their query allows them to better understand established and emerging practices outside the scope of our medical devices' approved or cleared uses. This helps HCPs make informed decisions in the best interest of their patients.

What inspires you the most at Arthrex?

I am inspired by knowing we all strive to positively impact patient care and outcomes. Practicing as a physician assistant in orthopedics prior to joining Arthrex was very fulfilling. Being part of Arthrex and witnessing the immense positive impact the company has on patients is my greatest source of inspiration.

What is your favorite success story at Arthrex?

During my time at Arthrex, there have been so many success stories, but Arthrex as whole is my favorite one. Arthrex was started in a foreign country, in a market that didn’t exist at the time. Since 1981, the company has grown exponentially, positively impacting health care professionals, patients and employees around the globe. The innovation never stops, and the impact goes further and further year after year.

A more recent success story is the expansion of the OrthoPedia.com platform to include OrthoPedia Patient and OrthoPedia Academics. With OrthoPedia Patient, we can now provide patients an easily accessible and trusted source of orthopedic information. OrthoPedia Academics provides residents, fellows and other learners an unparalleled educational experience in a structured environment. This expansion is truly in line with our core value of Making People Better.

How do you describe the Arthrex culture?

The Arthrex culture is innovative, forward-thinking and people focused. It is here that I have a sense of purpose and belonging.

Our core value is Making People Better. How has Arthrex made you better?

The opportunities for professional development at Arthrex have made a profound difference in my professional life. Various Learning and Development courses have highlighted personal growth opportunities for me and provided me with many ways to be a better people leader and colleague. I’m also incredibly grateful for the many coworkers who have shared their insights and paths to success with me.
