How do you impact our mission of Helping Surgeons Treat Their Patients Better® through your role?

As the APAC IT Applications Manager, I am the person responsible for making sure the company’s technology and business work together seamlessly. This means keeping systems running smoothly, processes tight and the company’s technology effectively serving both the business and its users. My role also includes me ensuring that APAC’s systems are aligned with global processes so we’re not reinventing the wheel in every region but instead moving forward as one team with the same goals.

Every behind-the-scenes improvement I make helps the business move faster and work smarter, strengthening how we support our surgeons. By increasing agility, I ensure our technology empowers frontline users rather than slowing them down—allowing my work in IT to have a meaningful impact on Helping Surgeons Treat Their Patients Better®.

What inspires you the most at Arthrex?

What truly inspires me is Arthrex’s genuine commitment to innovation with purpose. It's rare to find an organization where cutting-edge technology is so deeply intertwined with compassion and impact. Arthrex’s focus on improving the lives of patients through the surgeons speaks to my values. It’s not just about business performance; it’s about contributing to something bigger. Joining a team that is passionate about advancing healthcare outcomes while staying grounded in empathy is exactly the kind of purpose-driven environment I want to be part of.

What is your favorite success story at Arthrex?

One of the success stories I’m most proud of at Arthrex Singapore is being part of the journey behind the implementation of the Business Portal Next (BPNext) program, a tool that streamlines the sales process and gets important equipment into surgeons’ hands faster.

Inspired by the program’s success in Japan, Korea, Australia and New Zealand, we saw an opportunity to adapt it for Singapore’s local case-booking system, replacing a heavily manual process that involved Excel files, handwritten forms and WhatsApp orders. We integrated BPNext in Singapore more than two years ago, giving sales teams a faster, more accurate and mobile way to place orders and manage billing. Most importantly, this helped us to rethink and streamline our core processes.

Building on that momentum, we expanded the BPNext project to our distributor business throughout Southeast Asia. We went live with great success as many people were early adopters, and it was encouraging to know we are providing something that helps them.

Of course, as with any meaningful change, the journey has come with its share of learning moments. What continues to drive us forward is the unwavering commitment and dedication of everyone involved. We’re learning, adapting and improving every step of the way.

How do you describe the Arthrex culture?

Arthrex’s culture is incredibly dynamic and forward-thinking. Innovation truly feels like a constant that is embedded in how we operate, solve problems and deliver value. What impresses me most is how well the company takes care of its people. During my visit to the Arthrex global headquarters in Naples, Florida, I felt the energy, openness and strong sense of community. It felt like being part of a close-knit, motivated family.

As one global team, we all have the important responsibility to bring more cultural consistency across the different regions, while also respecting each country’s unique local differences. This will further elevate our collective impact and help every employee feel more connected, no matter where they are.

Our core value is Making People Better. How has Arthrex made you better?

When I first joined Arthrex, I didn’t have much knowledge about the orthopedic field. Coming from an IT and applications background, I wasn’t sure how my work would connect to the bigger picture. But seeing how the technology and medicine come together to help people gave me a real appreciation for the innovation that drives Arthrex’s success, and I’ve come to see how even the work we do behind the scenes plays a part in something meaningful.

Supporting the system processes that help bring Arthrex products to life has given me a new perspective. I’ve learned how much thought, care and innovation go into improving surgical outcomes and supporting healthcare professionals.

Arthrex has made me better by giving deeper meaning to the work I do. It’s helped me grow not just in knowledge, but in purpose. Even though I work behind the scenes, I now see how my contributions support a mission that truly makes people better.
