As a Senior Sales Representative based at Arthrex global headquarters in Naples, Florida, Stan Matveyev works to establish and maintain relationships with physicians and hospital personnel to help sell Arthrex products. This often involves office visits, on-site trainings, surgeon-based courses and extensive time spent in the operating room (OR) with health care professionals (HCPs). These efforts spread awareness of Arthrex’s technologies and surgical techniques that can help surgeons treat their patients better.

How do you impact our mission of Helping Surgeons Treat Their Patients Better® through your role?
As a medical device representative and technology consultant, I provide surgeons with up-to-date information on Arthrex medical products and technologies. In addition to Arthrex’s numerous monthly surgical courses, which provide HCPs with the latest advancements in orthopedics, these interactions ultimately help surgeons make more informed decisions and improve patient outcomes.
What inspires you the most at Arthrex?
The fact that Arthrex allows me to have a positive impact on health care inspires me. I provide HCPs with innovative devices and surgical techniques that can improve patient outcomes and standardize the quality of care.
What is your favorite success story at Arthrex?
My favorite success story involves a surgeon who had been using an outdated surgical technique to treat arthritis in the hand. The technique extended the patient’s recovery time and could lead to more post-surgery pain. After learning more about this doctor and what outcomes he wanted to achieve, I invited him to attend a course on campus, which exposed him to the latest advancements in hand and wrist surgery.
Afterwards, he adopted a new technique using our InternalBrace™ procedure to treat hand pathologies. This helped him reduce operating time and post-operative pain for the patient and speed up recovery.
This is perfect example of the strides Arthrex takes to contribute to continued surgeon education and provide the right tools to improve patient outcomes.
How do you describe the Arthrex culture?
In the Sales field at Arthrex, the work culture is typically fast-paced, competitive and driven by a passion for health care innovation. It values strong communication skills, product knowledge, customer relationships and a focus for improving patient care.
Our core value is Making People Better. How has Arthrex made you better?

Also, the emphasis on learning and development within the company has helped me stay current with industry trends and best practices.
