AMISC Invites Community Partners to Celebrate Five Years of Arthrex in South Carolina

Arthrex Manufacturing Inc. South Carolina (AMISC) recently invited community partners to celebrate its five-year anniversary of operations in Pendleton, South Carolina, and to learn more about how AMISC is fulfilling Arthrex’s mission of Helping Surgeons Treat Their Patients Better®.

This invitation-only event included representatives from Anderson County, Anderson County Economic Development, Anderson Free Clinic, Anderson Interfaith Ministries (AIM), Anderson School District 4, Anderson University, Cancer Association of Anderson, Clemson University, Community Audience Account, Habitat for Humanity of Anderson County, New Foundations Home for Children, Oconee Humane Society, PlaySafe USA, Samaritan Health Clinic and Tri-County Technical College.

Divided between a morning and afternoon session, attendees saw presentations from Director of Human Resources for Arthrex Manufacturing Inc. Melanie McLane and AMISC Director of Operations Stephanie Wildrick. Melanie and Stephanie spoke on the history of Arthrex, the number – and variety – of innovative products being produced by Arthrex each year and Arthrex’s continued growth, emphasizing AMISC having surpassed 1,500 employees.

Following the presentations, attendees were taken on a tour of the plant which highlighted Arthrex’s pride in manufacturing products in America.

Melanie said the day’s events were an awesome acknowledgment of Arthrex’s place in the community.

“It was a celebration of our time here,” she said, “but it was also a means of thanking and celebrating with our community partners as they have become great ambassadors for us. We were proud to share with them all the things we’re doing at Arthrex and how we continue to grow and invest in the community, rapidly becoming the employer of choice in the Upstate of South Carolina.”
