ACL injuries among young athletes are on the rise and so is the risk of re-injury. According to the National ACL Injury Coalition, these injuries have surged by nearly 26% over the past 15 years, with sports like soccer, basketball, lacrosse and football among the most affected.

In a recent segment on WFTS Tampa Bay’s Morning Blend, Trey Remaley, DO, of the Florida Orthopaedic Institute and the University of South Florida highlighted how the Arthrex InternalBrace™ technique is transforming ACL reconstruction and improving outcomes for athletes at every level.

As Dr. Remaley explains, the InternalBrace technique adds a high-strength suture tape alongside the ACL graft during surgery. Acting like a seat belt, it helps protect the graft from stretching too far or retearing as patients return to sports and daily activities.
