Baltimore Ravens long snapper and Arthrex Athlete Nick Moore recently shared his inspiring comeback story with WMAR 2 News, following a season-ending Achilles injury in 2023.
“This year I'm just excited to feel 100% through the entire season,” Nick told WMAR 2 News sports reporter Xavier Wherry.
After rupturing his Achilles tendon during a conditioning test, Nick turned to orthopedic surgeon Robert Anderson, MD (Charlotte, NC), who repaired Nick’s Achilles using the Arthrex PARS Achilles Jig System with SutureTape.
As seen at the end of the surgical technique animation, JumpStart® antimicrobial wound dressing may be applied to the incision following a surgery such as Nick's. JumpStart antimicrobial wound dressing is embedded with microcell batteries made of silver and zinc, which generates an electrical current and kills a broad spectrum of harmful pathogens, including multidrug-resistant and biofilm-forming bacteria to help reduce the risk of infection.
Nick’s procedure marked a critical turning point in his career, and now, he’s returned to the Ravens for his fourth NFL season—stronger than ever and ready to compete.
