Arthrex partnered with three local organizations, Grace Place, Youth Haven and Toys for Tots, to help make the 2011 holiday season special for about 200 less fortunate Collier County children. The Toy Drive was a success again this year thanks to the generosity of many Arthrex, Inc. and Arthrex Manufacturing, Inc. employees.
Grace Place is a faith-based, nonprofit neighborhood educational center teaching literacy, language and life skills to at-risk children and impoverished families in Golden Gate city, Naples.
Youth Haven is Collier County’s only 24-hour residential Emergency Shelter for children removed from their homes due to an allegation of abuse, neglect and/or abandonment. The organization is the sole provider of numerous Family Support Programs offering in-home and community-based parenting education, abuse and homelessness prevention, temporary financial assistance, and crisis intervention services for families with children living in crisis situations.
The mission of the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community in which the campaign is conducted.
