Arthrex Hosts USF Supply Chain Professionals

Arthrex recently hosted the University of South Florida (USF) Supply Chain Professionals Club on the Naples campus for an in-depth look into the day-to-day responsibilities and job opportunities of the Supply Chain team.

“At Arthrex, we are committed to fostering the next generation of supply chain leaders,” said Senior Manager of Supply Chain Hasan Kajtezovic. “Welcoming students from the USF Supply Chain Professionals Club is an exciting opportunity to introduce them to the innovative work we do while also strengthening our talent pipeline for the future. This initiative is part of our ongoing collaboration with universities across the country, ensuring that students gain real-world insights and meaningful connections in the industry.”

Led by Corporate Engagement Manager Meg Hardt, the students were introduced to Arthrex’s history, our mission of Helping Surgeons Treat Their Patients Better® and our robust internship program, which accepts more than 160 students from 60-plus universities each summer.

Since Arthrex is constantly growing and expanding into new markets, with a current product count reaching over 23,000 and an estimated 2,479 set to launch in the coming year, the students were impressed with the many opportunities to participate in the medical device industry where they can have a positive impact on people’s lives.

“The campus visit had a significant influence on my post-graduation plans and provided a deeper understanding of the company’s mission and culture of ‘Making People Better,’ which resonates with my desire to work for a meaningful purpose,” said USF student and Supply Chain Professionals Program Chair Danh Nguyen. “This reinforced my preference to seek out employers who prioritize employee care and offer opportunities to grow and contribute for many years.”

During the tour of the campus, students were also given a chance to visit the Product Showcase where they could handle the products and ask any questions they had.

Afterwards, they met with Hasan and Continuous Improvement Manager Ryan Adams who presented on Arthrex’s upstream and downstream supply chain activities. They also highlighted the many different career pathways offered by Arthrex for upcoming talent.

Learning opportunities continued through lunch where students could network with current Arthrex Supply Chain employees and learn even more about the day-to-day processes in the industry.

The day ended with a panel discussion where students were able to ask any remaining questions they had about the many careers and learning opportunities offered by Arthrex.

“This was a great opportunity to go out into the field and see what professionals do day-to-day, expand our job horizons and learn about opportunities in industries that aren’t widely available in our area,” said Sahara Sipple, USF Supply Chain Management Major and Club President.
