Arthrex recently expanded its ongoing partnership with Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU) in Fort Myers, Florida, to support FGCU Athletics, which includes a 10-year Athletic Trainers Sponsorship Program. This initiative provides athletic trainers with ongoing professional development and educational opportunities, helping them gain exposure to the latest advancements in orthopedic technology and sports medicine.
To kick off the program, FGCU athletic trainers visited Arthrex global headquarters in Naples, Florida, to tour the campus, learn about the company's mission of Helping Surgeons Treat Their Patients Better® and explore all the opportunities available to students interested in healthcare and sports medicine careers.
"Empowering athletic trainers to serve as ambassadors will expand awareness for student athletes about careers in the medical device industry," said Arthrex Corporate Engagement Manager Meg Hardt. "Together, Arthrex and FGCU Athletics are creating a strong example of how collaboration can drive meaningful impact for both organizations."
Through this partnership, Arthrex and FGCU Athletics are helping support the professional development of athletic trainers while strengthening opportunities for the next generation of sports medicine professionals.

"I really enjoyed getting to see the Arthrex campus and learn about all of the newest medical innovations," said Cassidy Soistman, athletic trainer for FGCU Men's Basketball and Cheer. "I am excited to learn more through this partnership and to continue upgrading my knowledge to better treat student athletes at FGCU."
FGCU Head Athletic Trainer Kenna Olsen said the visit highlighted the value of the partnership and the educational opportunities available through the program.
“The wide range of opportunities to learn from industry experts, connect with fellow sports medicine professionals and continue professional development is invaluable for enhancing the care and support we can provide for student athletes,” said Olsen. We are so thankful to Arthrex for their continued partnership with FGCU Athletics."
