Arthrex is pleased to announce the purchase of additional land to the north of the existing Arthrex Manufacturing Inc. East (AMIE) buildings in Ave Maria, Florida. This newly acquired land will house multiple exciting additions to the AMIE campus, including the new Arthrex Academy – AMIE, which is now under construction.
The new Arthrex Academy – AMIE is being built by Waltbillig and Hood General Contractors, LLC, the same company that built the Arthrex Academy on the Naples campus. The initial building will match the footprint of the Academy on the Arthrex Manufacturing Inc. South Carolina (AMISC) campus, but with continued growth in mind, allowances have been made that will offer the ability to add on to the building if the need arises in the future.
Construction on the Arthrex Academy – AMIE is expected to be completed near the end of 2026.
Permitting and initial site work are also underway for an 80,000 square-foot warehouse intended for raw material storage.
“We plan to move raw components out of the current building and into the new warehouse,” said Vice President of Operations David Bumpous. “Taking those materials out of our current space will free up valuable square footage in which we can add additional manufacturing equipment for the sake of keeping up with ever-increasing demand.”
And in support of Arthrex’s goals of employee health and well-being, plans are in the works for lighted outdoor recreational spaces, including a soccer field and basketball court. The target completion date for these amenities is also late 2026.
