Arthrex Legal Team Spends Volunteer PTO Day at RCMA

Sixteen members of Arthrex’s Legal team recently spent their Volunteer PTO Day at the RCMA (Redlands Christian Migrant Association) Immokalee Community Child Development Center and Academy.

In addition to planting Clusia shrubs around the perimeter of the playground, the team also had the opportunity to learn about the important work being done by the RCMA organization.

“RCMA provides for the families that work to put food in our grocery stores and on our tables,” Vice President - General Counsel John Schmieding said. “It was an honor to give back to a community that gives so much to us.”

Operating 54 child development centers and three charter schools throughout Southern Florida, RCMA serves migrant and rural low-income families by providing children safe, healthy, educational and enriching environments. Headquartered in Immokalee, Florida, RCMA strives to be a national role model for programs that promote education for the children of migrant farm workers.

“I’m thankful to work for a company that supports community involvement through initiatives like the Volunteer PTO Day,” said Paralegal Alan Seutter. “It was nice to have the opportunity to spend the day making improvements to a campus for an organization that does so much to better the lives of the people it serves.”

Arthrex’s Volunteer PTO benefit allows employees eight hours of paid time off each year in order to give back to their community. Look for more stories of Arthrex employees using their Volunteer PTO benefit on Arthrex LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter pages.
