Arthrex is pleased to announce that it is entering into a lease agreement with the Lee County Port Authority, pending Lee Board of County Commissioners approval, to build a new Arthrex Logistics Center (ALC) on the north side of the Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) runway.
The lease agreement will encompass approximately 48 acres within the Skyplex development project and will position the new ALC building adjacent to Arthrex’s transportation partner, FedEx, as well as UPS (United Parcel Service).
The new building is planned to be approximately one million square feet in size and will allow Arthrex to combine all components of the current ALC and ALC East spaces, consolidating all logistics operations into one building.
“The physical proximity to our shipping partners and the runway itself will provide a new level of efficiency in both domestic and international shipping directly out of RSW,” said Vice President of Operations David Bumpous. “This new ALC will serve to support Arthrex’s anticipated growth for decades to come.”
The Lee Board of County Commissioners will vote on the matter later this month. If approved, Arthrex anticipates the new facility will open in 2028.
