Arthrex is proud to strengthen community safety through its Charitable Giving Program, which supports more than 100 nonprofits annually near its U.S. locations. Among the beneficiaries is the Sandy Springs Fire Department, located just half a mile from Arthrex Manufacturing Inc. South Carolina (AMISC).
This volunteer department, led by Fire Chief Jessica Landreth and Assistant Chief Michael Landreth, plays a vital role in emergency response for Anderson County. With 25 volunteers and no paid staff, the department relies heavily on grants and community support to maintain life-saving capabilities.
Since 2023, Arthrex funding has helped purchase essential tools such as extrication equipment, thermal imaging cameras and vehicle stabilization systems—resources that have already proven critical during highway accidents near the AMISC campus.
“The relationship between Arthrex and the Sandy Springs Fire Department benefits not only our employees but the entire community,” said AMISC EHS Specialist Troy Dobbins. “It’s reassuring to know these volunteers have the tools they need to keep us safe.”
Fire Chief Landreth echoed that sentiment: “Arthrex’s support isn’t just financial; it’s a reminder that we’re not doing this work alone. Knowing a company like Arthrex stands behind us means more than words can express.”
Through partnerships like this, Arthrex continues its commitment to giving back and ensuring the safety and well-being of the communities where its employees live and work.
