Gulf Coast News Highlights Arthrex Innovation in Story on ACL Reconstruction Advances

A recent story on Southwest Florida news station Gulf Coast News highlighted the Arthrex TightRope® SB implant and its role in advancing ACL reconstruction techniques.

Anchor Meagan Miller spoke with Elle Deans, a local lacrosse player who is recovering from ACL reconstruction after suffering an injury during practice earlier this year.

Orthopedic surgeon Patrick Smith, MD (Naples, FL), with HSS at NCH performed Elle's ACL reconstruction. In the interview, Dr. Smith discussed advances in fixation technology and how all-suture solutions, such as the TightRope SB implant, are helping shape modern approaches to ACL reconstruction.

"It's become my preferred technique," Dr. Smith said in the interview, noting that he has continued to use the technology in subsequent ACL reconstruction procedures.

The segment also featured Arthrex Senior Group Product Manager Justin Boyle, who discussed the development of the TightRope SB implant. He highlighted the benefits of all-suture fixation, noting that the device eliminates concerns associated with metal sensitivity or allergies while providing strong graft fixation without metal hardware.
