At Arthrex, our mission of Helping Surgeons Treat Their Patients Better® drives everything we do. But we also believe in empowering patients with a clear understanding of their injuries and treatment options. That’s why we’re excited to highlight how our innovative medical animations are making a meaningful impact, both in the operating room and on a global stage.
Just hours before the NFL’s 2024 regular season premiere between the Baltimore Ravens and the Kansas City Chiefs, Southwest Florida’s NBC affiliate, NBC2/WBBH highlighted how Arthrex’s 3D animations are reaching a global audience through major network broadcasts, including Sunday and Thursday Night Football and the Olympics on NBC.
The story also showcased how the animations are helping patients like Ave Maria University wide receiver Ray Desanto grasp complex medical concepts. Desanto’s surgeon, Brian Wallace, DO, (Naples, Florida), frequently uses these animations to educate his patients, which not only enhances their understanding about the procedures he performs to repair their injuries, but also helps reduce their anxiety surrounding surgery and recovery.
Arthrex Medical Animation Manager Patrick Eckhold and NBC Sports Medicine Analyst Mike Ryan also contributed to this story.
