Over 700 Students Attend Arthrex Career Showcase

The third annual Arthrex Career Showcase held on the Naples Campus on Friday, January 5 was a huge success, with over 700 high school juniors and seniors, college students and recent graduates attending to learn about Arthrex career opportunities.

The first floor of the Arthrex One building once again became a bustling hub of activity as attendees visited the interactive exhibits and experienced Arthrex innovations first-hand, engaged in meaningful discussions with employees about necessary skills and experience, and learned more about career, internship and co-op opportunities.

Corporate Engagement Supervisor Meg Hardt described the showcase as a way to introduce students and recent graduates to the variety of careers that Arthrex has to offer. The event has drawn more students every year.

“Each year the event gets bigger and better,” said Meg. “We had students coming all the way from schools like Michigan State and Yale [universities].”

College junior Nick Suarez was eager to learn more about opportunities in Finance.

“I’m hoping to find a summer internship this year, which is stressful,” he said. “And it's comforting to see how well-organized and informative the showcase is.”

Tyler Myers, who is a senior studying pre-med at Elon University, appreciated the opportunity to learn more about Medical Education at Arthrex.

“I’ve visited the campus a few times now and there’s always something new happening,” he said. “This time I really loved seeing the surgical innovations, the changing techniques and the applicable options there are for the situations I study in my classes.”

Organizational Change Management Manager Maria Hernandez brought her nephew and his friend to the showcase so he could speak with the engineering teams and to discover the different career paths available.

“He was so excited and inspired after talking with the engineers,” Maria said. “I am happy he had this chance to really see the impact that our engineers have on the community and to get some great advice early on. Not many companies offer these opportunities and I’m so proud that Arthrex does.”

A big thank you to the many departments and employees who contributed to make this year so successful.
