When planning how to best use Arthrex’s Volunteer PTO benefit, Regulatory Affairs team members decided to divide their efforts between two organizations that provide essential services to Southwest Florida – Habitat for Humanity of Collier County and the Harry Chapin Food Bank.
“Spending the day with these two organizations not only allowed us to make an impact in our community, but it also strengthened our team dynamics in meaningful ways,” said Senior Administrative Assistant Danielle DelPo.
Earlier this year, seven Regulatory Affairs team members chose to spend their Volunteer PTO Day painting and installing doors at Habitat for Humanity’s Songbird at Whippoorwill neighborhood, a 10-acre condo community that will soon be home to 52 families.
A week later, 11 other Regulatory Affairs team members spent the day volunteering with the Harry Chapin Food Bank – packing nearly 8,000 bags of produce destined for the FulFill Mobile Pantry and its partner agencies. The team also contributed to a vital fundraising effort by mailing 300 appeal letters for a matching grant campaign in Charlotte County, ultimately helping to raise $15,805.
Senior Director of Regulatory Affairs David Rogers shared his pride in the team’s achievements. “The enthusiasm and commitment displayed by the team was truly inspiring,” said David. “This is just one of the many ways Arthrex helps make people better.”
Arthrex’s Volunteer PTO benefit allows employees eight hours of paid time off each year in order to give back to their community. Look for more stories of Arthrex employees using their Volunteer PTO benefit on Arthrex LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter pages.
