Risk Management and Compliance Team Spends Volunteer PTO Day at De LaSalle Academy

Members of Arthrex’s Risk Management and Compliance team recently spent a second Volunteer PTO Day at De LaSalle Academy in Fort Myers, Florida.

“Our team first helped at De LaSalle in September 2022 after Hurricane Ian destroyed its roof and left the campus grounds covered in downed trees and debris,” said Compliance Administrator Amy Genzlinger, who coordinated both Volunteer PTO Days with her team.

With a mission of educating children with learning challenges, De LaSalle Academy strives to provide a safe, supportive and nurturing environment in which each student’s diverse ability is honored and valued.

“De LaSalle is one of the only schools in Fort Myers that specifically serves kids with special learning needs,” Amy said. “And the school means a lot to me because my daughter attended De LaSalle from fifth through 12th grade.”

The Risk Management and Compliance team spent its most recent Volunteer PTO day painting the school’s gymnasium, a multi-purpose area that is also used as a lunchroom and an auditorium. With 14 Arthrex employees assisting the De LaSalle staff, the group was able to paint the entire gym, the front lobby and the reception area.

"Being able to help the staff at De LaSalle Academy was not only fun, but rewarding,” said Global Privacy Manager Stephanie Luken. “Everyone at the school was so appreciative, and it was great to assist a local organization that does so much for children. It was nice to spend time with co-workers outside of the office while contributing to the community."

The De LaSalle staff would like to thank the following team members for their contributions to the school: Amy, Stephanie, Compliance Manager Thelma Kersey, Compliance Monitoring and Analytics Lead Ross Voit, Compliance Specialist Paige Magee, Compliance Monitoring Analyst Merina Eberhard, Transparency Reporting Supervisor Kristen Claunch, Manager, Global Compliance Training & Communications Amy Hambleton, Compliance Policy and Process Improvement Lead Kelsey Mullady, CIA Director and Healthcare Counsel Jennifer Haney, Director of Regional Compliance Jason Vendel, Senior Manager of Compliance Investigations Jackie Genchi, Director of Global Compliance Assurance Enock Chibende and Compliance Specialist Bri Queen.
