Community Impact

AMISC Employees Use 7,000+ Volunteer Hours to Aid Community

Arthrex has long been known for its contributions to the communities in which it operates. One of the most impactful means of encouraging community involvement among employees is Arthrex’s Volunteer PTO Benefit, which offers every employee eight hours of paid time off each calendar year to spend a day giving back to the communities in which they live and work.

To further support that mission, the Arthrex Volunteer Network serves to connect employees to volunteer opportunities in their area.

Since expanding Arthrex’s Volunteer Network to Arthrex Manufacturing Inc. South Carolina (AMISC) in 2024, employees have collectively used more than 7,000 Volunteer PTO Benefit hours to aid the greater Pendleton area. It was also in 2024 that Hurricane Helene impacted the area, and Arthrex generously offered employees a second Volunteer PTO Day to help co-workers and neighbors.

In addition to rallying to assist with cleanup efforts after hurricanes and devastating floods, employees have also answered the call to assist more than 30 charitable organizations throughout the Upstate.

Among the organizations AMISC has partnered with in the past two years are the Oconee Humane SocietyHabitat for Humanity, the Anderson Area YMCAHospice of the UpstateWild Hearts Equine Therapeutic CenterAIM and Meals on Wheels Anderson, which recently presented Arthrex with a community partner award.

“AMISC employees have become a cornerstone of community support across the Upstate,” said Manufacturing Engineer Technician David Fisher, who leads the Volunteer Network at AMISC. “Volunteer participation is consistently enthusiastic, meaningful and impactful – improving lives across Anderson, Oconee, Pickens and Greenville counties.”
