Arthrex Quality Control Crew Coordinator Lika Kolenovic, who works at the Arthrex Manufacturing Inc. South Carolina (AMISC) campus, recently celebrated several meaningful family milestones with a pair of unforgettable trips across Europe—made even more special thanks to Arthrex’s commitment to recognizing long‑serving employees.
Lika’s five‑year anniversary with Arthrex lined up perfectly with multiple family celebrations: her husband Sal’s 60th birthday, her mother’s birthday and her sister and brother‑in‑law’s wedding anniversary. What began as a plan to surprise Sal with a trip to Dubai soon evolved into a family‑centered adventure when Lika’s sister encouraged them to celebrate together in Switzerland instead.
Traveling under the guise of attending their niece’s graduation, Lika and Sal arrived in Switzerland for what became a joyful surprise celebration. With help from family members, they coordinated a festive gathering complete with multiple cakes and plenty of smiles.
“Being surrounded by family made it incredibly special,” Lika said. “We celebrated a birthday, an anniversary—and created memories we’ll never forget.”
While in Switzerland, the couple explored iconic destinations including Montreux, Vevey, the St. Beatus caves, Lake Blausee and Giessbach Falls. Each stop added another memorable moment to their journey.
Inspired by the spirit of adventure, Lika and Sal then extended their travels to Italy and Monaco. They visited historic Como and the picturesque village of Bellagio before wrapping up their trip in Monaco, known for its scenic coastline, luxury shops and storied landmarks.
“Everything in Bellagio was breathtaking,” Lika said. “And Monaco was the perfect way to end the trip—full of sights and experiences we had only seen in photos.”
Reflecting on the experience, Lika expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to celebrate important milestones with her loved ones.
“I am so thankful to Arthrex for contributing to such an unforgettable trip filled with lifelong memories,” she said.
