Arthrex Quality Systems Team Spends Day Giving Back to the Community and Feeling Arthrex Proud

Members of the Arthrex Manufacturing Inc. East (AMIE) Quality Systems team spent their Volunteer PTO Day packing food at Meals of Hope before stopping by the Naples Arthrex campus for a quick visit.

Meals of Hope, the organization Arthrex has partnered with in recent years to coordinate meal packing events, has a mission of inspiring and empowering communities to come together to end hunger. In addition to providing meals to communities throughout the country and around the world, Meals of Hope currently operates 15 food pantries in Southwest Florida.

Working together in the Meals of Hope’s North Naples facility, the Quality Systems team packed meals for 321 families in the Naples, Fort Myers and Bonita Springs, Florida areas.

“It was truly heartwarming to be able to help people in our community, knowing we made a significant impact on those in need,” said Quality Systems Analyst III Rafael Mesa. “I'm proud to work for a company that encourages its employees to be involved in initiatives that contribute to the well-being of our community.”

Manufacturing Quality Systems Manager Madison DeFrank helped coordinate the events for the day, which included an afternoon tour of the Naples ArthroLab with Manager of ArthroLab Operations Miguel Infante and an overview of the Prototype area with Manufacturing Engineering Manager Lina DelGatto.

“The whole day was motivating and humbling because it gave us a new perspective on both the Naples community and the Arthrex community we are all a part of,” Madison said.

Arthrex’s Volunteer PTO benefit allows employees eight hours of paid time off each year in order to give back to their community. Look for more stories of Arthrex employees using their Volunteer PTO benefit on the Arthrex  LinkedInFacebookInstagram and Twitter pages.
