WINK News Meteorologists Help SWFL Arthrex Employees Prepare for Hurricane Season

Arthrex recently welcomed Southwest Florida meteorologists Matt Devitt and Zach Maloch from WINK News to speak with employees about hurricane preparedness. Their presentations were held at Arthrex Manufacturing Inc. East (AMIE) in Ave Maria and the Arthrex Logistics Center (ALC) in Fort Myers.

As trusted voices in the region, Matt and Zach have spent years forecasting severe weather and guiding the community through major storms, including Hurricanes Irma, Ian and Milton. With the 2025 Atlantic hurricane season underway, their visit was especially timely, offering Arthrex team members practical advice on how to prepare for potential storms and stay safe during hazardous weather conditions.

The meteorologists covered key safety measures employees should take now—such as assembling emergency kits and reviewing evacuation plans—as well as what to expect when a storm is imminent.

As hurricane season continues through the fall, Arthrex remains committed to supporting employee safety and preparedness across all facilities. Educational opportunities like these underscore the importance of staying informed and proactive, ensuring our team members are equipped to protect themselves, their families and their communities during severe weather events.
